John Heller, Chief Executive Officer
John was President of the Long Term Care Division of Integrated Health Services, where he was instrumental in growing it into the third largest skilled nursing company in the nation, with over 60,000 employees and 400+ nursing facilities. He was also Chief Executive Officer for Housecall Medical Resources, a hospice and home health company.
Paul Shaw, President
Paul has an extensive background in a variety of healthcare settings, ranging from physician practice management to President of a large privately held contract therapy management company. He has also served as Vice President of one of the nation's largest therapy companies. His healthcare career started in 1984 and he has worked in the rehabilitation industry since 1989. Paul is recognized for his advocacy of resident care and his commitment to adequate reimbursement for those services and has served on many national committees in support of these issues.
Jim Rogerson, Chief Operating Officer
After more than 20 years working in long-term care and with older adults, Jim has a complete understanding of the client and therapist side of the business. He has worked in every facet of the industry: publicly-traded, family-owned, non-profit, you name it. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator who has managed single and multiple sites, and led therapy divisions to insurmountable success. For 10 years, Jim has been a surveyor of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Jim also sits on the board for Hospice of the Western Reserve, since 2009.
Tom Guild, Chief Counsel
Tom is the former General Counsel for Symphony Health Services, one of the largest ancillary services companies in the industry. He was instrumental in growing Symphony's rehabilitation therapy company, RehabWorks, into the largest independent therapy company in the post acute industry. Tom has over 17 years of legal, regulatory, and operational experience in post acute rehabilitation.
Sheila Schanck, Chief Information Officer
Sheila comes to HealthPRO® with over 25 years of experience in building high-performing technology organizations across multiple industries including media, consumer services, engineering, healthcare, financial services, defense and government. She has held the top position in Information Technology for MedStar Health Research Institute, BGE Home Products and Services, Convera Technologies, and most recently for Ruppert Commercial Landscape. Sheila led the software development for the commercial launch of electronic radio ratings measurement with Arbitron's Portable People Meter from 2-market pilot to top 50 U.S. cities and worked to establish Arbitron India, Ltd. She is responsible for planning and enacting our company’s technology strategy, leveraging data, process methodology and product innovation to ensure our company’s service excellence and continuing growth.
Crista Stark, Chief Strategy and Development Officer
Crista’s health care experience spans both the provider and service sectors of the post-acute profession. Importantly, she has successfully lead both marketing and business development functions with a proven track record of product innovation and organic growth. Prior to joining HealthPRO®, Crista was a former VP of Marketing at both NeighborCare Pharmacy Services and Integrated Health Services.
Al Eads, Executive Vice President
Al has held various positions in the health care field since 1987. Prior to starting HealthPRO®/Heritage, Al held positions with two publicly traded and one privately held company. He has worked in the rehabilitation industry since 1992. Al leads business development and marketing initiatives and has assisted the company in becoming one of the most unique, innovative and customer focused rehabilitation service providers in our industry. During his career in the rehabilitation industry, Al has served on many strategic planning task forces and committees in various states where Heritage provides its services.
Chris Mottley, Chief Financial Officer
Chris has over 18 years of private and public accounting experience, having spent 12 years with Centennial HealthCare which operated over 100 skilled nursing facilities and ancillary businesses in over 20 states. Chris most recently worked as a Director for EDG Partners, LLC, a healthcare focused private equity firm where he was involved in sourcing and diligence of firm transactions as well as providing financial and IT support to portfolio companies.
Don Tesner, Chief Administrative Officer
Don is a certified public accountant and has over 15 years of experience in finance operations and capital raising initiatives. Don has served as the Chief Financial Officer of ISO Poly Films, Inc., and Vice President of Finance and Administration for ECP, Inc. Don began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick where he managed a diverse portfolio of public and private companies in manufacturing, healthcare, and other industries.
Leigh Ann Frick, Chief Clinical Officer
Leigh Ann has worked in long-term care since 1993 when she started her career as a physical therapist. Leigh Ann has been involved in clinical training, management, compliance, consulting, operations, and clinical program development and implementation. She was recently promoted to Chief Clinical Officer for Heritage Healthcare/HealthPRO. Leigh Ann's experience has focused on ensuring quality rehabilitation service delivery in the post-acute care industry while adapting to regulatory and reimbursement changes. Leigh Ann is committed to providing clinicians the tools and knowledge necessary to provide excellent clinical care to all of the populations served by Heritage Healthcare/HealthPRO. Leigh Ann received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from The Ohio University and her MBA from Clemson University (SC).
Jim Sinisi, Vice President of Recruitment
Jim Sinisi is a therapy recruitment expert with 20+ years experience in the profession across multiple states. Immediately prior to joining HealthPRO®, Jim worked with Care One Management, one of the largest privately held senior living providers on the East Coast operating seventy-nine skilled nursing facilities in nine states. As Director of Rehab Talent Development, Jim was responsible for therapy staff recruitment related to one third of Care One’s portfolio. In addition, Jim executed a strategy that reduced agency usage and FTE openings by 80% within twelve months of his hire. Prior to that he founded the Permanent Placement Division at Sunbelt Staffing and also owned and operated his own recruiting firm for 12 years.
Alissa Vertes, MS, SLP, Compliance Officer
Alissa holds an M.S. in Speech Language Pathology and is Board Certified in Healthcare Compliance by the HealthCare Compliance Association. She has managed rehabilitation departments across LTC/Hospital/Outpatient settings for over 18 years and is currently the Compliance Officer for HealthPRO® Rehabilitation. Alissa is a national speaker on therapy documentation and defensible documentation for rehabilitation specialists and serves as Compliance Committee Chair and internal compliance investigation team lead for multiple organizations. She is a specialist in companywide Internal/External Risk Assessments for rehabilitation services. Alissa spearheads companywide audits & related training processes and oversees reviews in light of RAC/MAC/ZPIC audits.
